Section 2 Championships - Results
Class A-Girls: Shenendehowa places four in the top eight to knock off defending champion Bethlehem for the Sectional title 43-56 for their first title since 2017.Shen was led by individual champion Leyla Bhursi, who defended her title in 17:09.0, improving on her course record and thirty-four seconds ahead of Guilderland's Addison Vellekoop. Also placing in the top ten for the Plainsmen were Riley Lynch (4th,18:01.4), Courtney Krawiecki (5th,18:09.7), and Raquelle Landa (8th,18:29.2). Bethlehem was led by top ten finishes by Sophia Chromczak (3rd,17:46.3), Logan Kuhn (6th,18:15.3), and Anna Chrapowitzky (7th,18:18.8).
Boys: Saratoga Springs place three in the top ten to beat out Guilderland 55-79 for their third title in four years. Saratoga was led by individual winner Thomas Isenovski, who finished in 15:25.6, four seconds ahead of Shaker's Jake Gaudette (15:29.8) for his second title in three years. The Bue Streaks were also led by Grahm Burns (9th,16:22.7) and Levi Layden (10th,16:23.1). Guilderland was led by a fifth place finish by Joseph Kosier (15:59.6). Jack Kransler (15th,15:43.3) and Joshua Melchior (16th,16:48.) also helped out the Dutchmen.
Class B-Girls: Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake places their top five in the the top eight and cruises to their third straight Class B title over Averill Park 26-63. Burnt Hills was led by a 2-3 finish by Adalyn Greer (19:05.3) and Addison Cyr (19:07.3). Lillian Knott (6th,20:17.7), Serafina Battuello (7th,20:22.5), and Arden Heiner (8th,20:24.2) finished up their scoring. Averill Park was led by a 4-5 finish by Elizabeth Cronin (19:11.4) and Mae Miller (19:55.2) to pick up thie first section 2 plaque since 1996. After two runner-up finishes, Scotia-Glenville's Kiera MacIntosh takes the individual title finishing in 18:48.9, seventeen seconds ahead of Greer.
Boys: Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake takes three out of the top four to take back the sectional team title over Queensbury 23-54. Burnt Hills was led by individual champion Ethan Owen, who takes the title in 15:57.6, twenty-one seconds ahead of teammate Jackson Majewski (16:18.1). Logan Muller (4th,16:39.3) and Dylan Piel (6th,16:48.9) also placed in the top ten. Queensbury was led by top five finishes by Chris DiPlacido (3rd,16:22.4) and Kiernan Davidson (5th,16:42.9).
Class C-Girls: Voorheesville, missing two out of their top four runners take two out of the top three spots to win their fourth straight Sectional title over Fonda-Fultonvillr 86-124. The Blackirds were led by Savannah Scmidt (2nd,19:03.3) and Shayla Hyman (3rd,20:02.3). Fonda-Fultonville was led by Delanie MacRedmond's (21:30.8) 11th place finish. Maeve Joyce of Holy Names follows up her Colonial Council title by winning the individual title in 18:14.7. Almost fifty seconds ahead of Schmidt. Joyce becomes Holy Names' first sectional champion since Catherine Maloy in 2012.
Boys: Fonda-Fultonville puts three in the top seven to beat out Ichabod Crane 42.-57. Fonda was led by a runner-up finish by Kyran Clark (16:58.8). Reed Sargalis (6th,17:15.8) and Brennan Melita (7th,17:23.7) also finished in the top ten. Ichabod Crane's Felix Thiess-Helden takes the individual title in 16:49.4, nine seconds ahead of Clark, becoming Ichabod Crane's first ever individual sectional champion.
Class D-Girls: Maple Hill pack in four in the top ten to win their third straight sectional title over Hoosic Valley 35-55. Maple Hill took the sixth through ninth spots led by Addison Reutzel (21:14.0), Rosilee Forrest (21:15.6), Gracelynn Ashby (22:13.8), and Francesca Pusateri (22:23.8). Hoosic Valley was led by a fifth place finish by Nahla Squires (21:12.1). Chatham's Madeline Waring repeats as inidividual champion, winning the title in 19:30.9. Well over a minute ahead of Duanesburg's Lakelyn Laudato (20:54.1).
Boys: After three years of finishing second, Maple Hill place three in the top eleven to beat out defending champion Galway 51-90 for the title. Maple Hill was led a third place finish by Liam Connelly, who finished in 17:28.8. Jack Willette (7th,17:50.9) and Jonah Leonidas (11th,18:01.6) also guided the Wildcats. Lake George's Rory Linehan moves up from last year's 2nd place finish to take the individual title in 16:52.6, twenty seconds ahead of Schoharie's Reid Starks-Swotkewicz.

-Mechanicville, led by individual winner Paige Rogers place two in the top three and three in the top ten to edge out Emma Willard 35-40 for the varsity girls title. Rogers finished in 21:0.8, thirteen seconds ahead of Hoosic Valley's Ava Wiley. Makayla Mulheren (3rd,21:25.7) and Rylee Saunders (8th,23:07.5) also placed in the top ten for Mechanicville. Kirsgeb Kluender (4th,21:30.5) and Sky Parker (5th,21:57.0) led Emma Willard.
-Berlin places three in the top ten to beat out Tamarac/Hoosick Falls 52-62 to take home the varsity boys title. Berlin were led by top ten finishes by John Savaria (3rd,18:25.8), Seth Hendricks (4th,18:40.8) and Joey Zvirzdin (7th,19:10.8). Tamarac/Hoosick Falls were led by Fletcher Lange (9th,19:12.1). Stillwater's Tim Oliver was the individual champion finishing in 17:20.9, fifty-three seconds ahead of Greenwich's Sam Dixson.
Foothills Council Championships - Results
-Queensbury places their top five in the top nine to beat out Scotia-Glenville to win the varsity girls title 27-54. Queensbury was led by a 2-3 finish by Ruby Janssen (19:58.5) and Finley Purvis (20:22.8). Scotia-Glenville was led by individual champion Kiera MacIntosh who finished in 19:06.6. 52 seconds ahead of Janssen.
-Queensbury take the top three spots to take the boys varsity title over Scotia-Glenville 22-57. The Spartans were led by individual champion Chris DiPlacido, who finished in 16:21.2, 48 seconds ahead of teammate Kiernan Davidson (16:59.5). John Rithringer placed third in 17:04.1 to give Queensbury the top three sweep. Scotia-Glenville was led by Matthew Williams (4th,17:09.3) and Jasper Berman's (8th,17:45.1) top ten finishes.
Suburban Council Championships - Results
-Shenendehowa place four in the top seven to hang on and win the varisty girls title over Bethlehem 48-54. Shenendehowa was led by individual champion Leyla Bhusri who finished in 16:42.9. Also finishing in the top ten were Riley Lynch (4th,17:18.8), Courtney Krawiecki (6th,17:34.6), and Raquelle Landa (7th,17:38.3). Bethlehem was led by runner-up Sophia Chromczak (16:54.6) and Logan Kuhn (5th,17:24.0), and Anna Chrapowitzky (8th,17:52.1) placing in the top ten. Guilderland placed third led by Allison Vellekoop's third place finish in 17:00.5
-Saratoga, led by individual runner-up Thomas Isenovski, place four in the top twenty to edge out runner-up Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake 74-79 to win the varsity boys title. Isenovski finished in 14:49.8 with Grahm Burns (15th,16:02.5), Thomas Kirchherr (17th,16:04.6), and Levi Layden (19th, 16:08.1) placing in the top 20. Burnt Hills was led by Ethan Owen (4th,15:02.3), Logan Muller (10th,15:54.2), and Dylan Piel (14th,16:00.3). Guilderlanf placed third led by Joseph Kosier's third place finish in 14:55.3. Colonie's Owen Conley was the individual winner in 14:43.8.
