Team Outlook: Lose two out of three from last year's team but bring back plenty of runners to aid in their depth this year. Senior Will Vartuli should be their number one this year as he was just over 17 minutes last year and is a league preseason top 5 runner. Team then has five runners who were all in the mid 18 minute range last year. Juniors Eduardo Gorospe, Jackson Barnett, Anthony Gravini, and David Simeone, with sophomore Eamon Taylor should battle it out for the second through fifth spots on the team. Depth is the strong point for the team as their sixth returning runners is ahead of every other team's third runner coming back. A little more improvements from their pack and it should be back to back league titles.

Senior Jack Sweeney is the only returning runner under 20 minutes last year and was in the mid 19's. Team is going to need some back end improvements in their fourth and fifth runners but the addition of Christian up top should give them a good chance of moving up from where they currently are in the league.

Lansingburgh Knights

Projected Lineup: Trae McIntyre-Sr., Colin Trolio-Jr., Santiago Trujillo-Sr., Charlie Hauser III, Jordan Person-Jr., Tyler Drescher-Sr., Stephen Golden-Jr., Joey Ganc-Sr., Riley VanDervoot, Gavin Wood

Key Losses: Jermaine Bradley

Team Outlook: : Lose their number three runner from last year but return everyone else. Senior Trae McIntyre and junior Collin Trolio will be running full time this year which will give them a huge boost as they are the best 1-2 punch in the league. McIntyre returns with the top returning time in the league running in the mid 16 minute range last year. Trolio was in the mid 17 minute range last year and is a league preseason top 5 runner. Rest of top five will be filled up with newcomers to the team that ran track. From the looks of their track times they will efinitely be a big improvement to the team. It will just be a question on how fast they will be able to adapy to cross country.

Junior Patrick McNaughton will have the large task of stepping into the top spot for the team running just under 18 minutes last year and is a league preseason top 10 runner.. His brother, Brendan, should be their number two and was in the mid 18 minute range last year. Rest of their top five returning were all in the low to mid 19 minute range and will look to improve those times if they want to help the team move up in the league.

He was in the high 17 minute range last year and had a very strong outdoor season so expect a sigificant improvement this year. Senior Merrick Rash was just behind Flowers last year. Both runners are league preseason top 10 runners. Sophomore Spencer Moreau should come in as their number three runner and was in the mid 18 minute range last year. Fourth and fifth runners were both in the mid 19's last year and they will look to improve those times and close the gap to their third runner if they are looking to challenge Albany Academy for the league title.

Team Outlook: Lose two out of their top three from last year but return senior Erin Boler who is one of the top runners in the league this year. She was in the mid 18's last year and will be looking to take the individual title. Rest of the team is well back as everyone else returning was over 23 minutes so they will need to improve their times but it will still be very tough to crack the top two.

Catholic Central Crusaders

2021 Sectional Place: Did Not Run

Team Outlook: No runners last year. Will need to rebuild.

 Cobleskill-Richmondville Bulldogs

2021 Sectional Place: 7th place-Class C

Projected Lineup: Haeley Spohn-Sr., Nichole Clark-Jr.

Key Losses: Oliva Holland, Kelsey Somers, Emma Davignon

Team Outlook: Had five runners last year but only return two. Senior Haeley Spohn returns as their top runner and was in the high 21 minute range last year. Junior Nichole Clark is the other returning runner and was in the mid 23's. Will need to focus on filling up the lineup first before worrying about the league standings. Had a full modified team last year so they could possibly have enough girls coming up to help.

 Cohoes Tigers

2021 Sectional Place: incomplete-Class C

Projected Lineup: none

Key Losses: Christa Spizowski

Team Outlook: Only had one runner and she graduated so team will have to focus on bringing in new talent and rebuild.

Holy Names

Projected Lineup: Abby Edwards-So., Logan Schlegel-So., Ashley Lee-So., Sophia Marko-So.

Key Losses: Livingston Ottman, Eileen Desharnas, Adrianna Drindak, Sinead Coughlin, Nora Dreslin

Team Outlook: Graduation took a huge hit to the team as they lose five out of their top six from last year. Sophomore Abby Edwards comes in as their top returning runner and was in the mid 24 minute range last year. Rest of the team were all over 27 minutes last year so team will need  to bring in some new blood and improve the existing times to move up in the league.

Ichabod Crane Riders

2021 Sectional Place: 7th place-Class C

Projected Lineup: Bethany Brady-Sr., Briana Doria-So., Laura Porcello-So., Rebekah Grace-Sr., Rebecca Church-So., Audrey Church-So.

Key Losses: Victoria Slade, Analisa Martino, Andrea Payne

Team Outlook: Lost three out of their top five from last year. Senior Bethany Brady comes in with their top returning time and was in the high 21 minute range last year. Sophomore Briana Doria comes in as their number two and was two minutes behind Brady in the high 23's. Rest of the team were all over 25 minutes so they will need to really improve on their back end to move up in the league.

Lansingburgh Knights

2021 Sectional Place: 8th place-Class B

Projected Lineup: Athena Planas-Dove-Jr., Vivian Bull-Jr. (no league meets), Adriana Sheppie-Fr., Devan Bull-8th (no league meets), Paige Muller-Sr., Emma Turley, Kierra Colantonio, Emma Shover, Ariel Adams, Shansanique Pollack

Key Losses: Karlie Genevive, Olivia Hepp

Team Outlook: Lose two out of their top five from last year. Junior Athena Planas-Dove returns as their top runner and was just under 20 minutes last year and is a league preseason top 10 runner. Junior Vivian Bull should be their number two runner and was in the low 20 minutes range last year giving the team a good 1-2 punch. Unfortunately she and her sister also play soccer so they will not be competing in any league meets which will hurt them in the league standings. Rest of the team is over two minutes behind their top two and will want to close the gap to them if they want to move up in the league.

LaSalle Cadets

2021 Sectional Place: incomplete-Class D

Projected Lineup: Briana Giles-So., Isabella Smith-So.

Key Losses: none

Team Outlook: Return the two runners that they had from last year's team that was the first female team in LaSalle history. Sophomore's Briana Giles and Isabella Smith return and they were both in the 24 and 25 minute range last year. After just starting a team last year the will focus on filling the team up and building for the future.

Mohonasen Mighty Warriors

2021 Sectional place: 3rd place-Class B

Projected Lineup: Rachel Miller-So., Abby Marriner-So., Ella Marriner-8th, Lexi Thayer-So., Zoe Miller-Jr., Alexis Brown-Sr., Marissa Smith-8th

Key Losses: Bonnieta Supaul

Team Outlook: Return their top six from last year led by sophomore Rachel Miller, who comes back with the top time in the league. She was just over 18 minutes last year but didn't run for the rest of the year, so we'll have to see what kind of shape she'll be in to start the season. Sophomore Abby Marriner is their number two runner and was about two minutes behing Miller, running in the low 20 minute range last year. The rest of their top five, 8th grader Ella Marriner, sophomore Lexi Thayer, and junior Zoe Miller were all in the mid 20 minute range last year. They bring back a solid top five but will still need to drop those 20 minute times into the sub 20 minute range if they want to challenge Voorheesville for the league title.

Ravena Indians

2021 Sectional Place: incomplete-Class C

Projected Lineup: Faith O'Brien-Sr.

Key Losses: Michelle Norton, Julianna Tourngeau, Laurel Ticer

Team Outlook: Only had four runners last year and lose their top three to graduation. Senior Faith O'Brien is the only returning runner and was in the mid 25 minute range so the team will need to focus on bringing their numbers up before they worry about competing in the league standings. Coach Davies says that they have ten runners in modified so the future is hopeful.

Schalmont Sabres

2021 Sectional Place: incomplete-Class B (Class C in 2022)

Projected Lineup: Gabriella DeLucia-Sr., Alex Middlekoop-So., Ella McDonald-Jr.

Key Losses: Molly Montgomery

Team Outlook: Only had four runners last year but return three, so a complete team is a possibility this season. Senior Gabriella DeLucia comes in with the top returning time for the team and was in the mid 24 minute range last year. Rest of the returning team were over 25 minutes. They did have a good number of modified runners last year that could possibly step in and help the team right away. Can definitely move up significantly in the league if that happens.

Voorheesville Blackbirds

2021 Sectional Place: 1st place-Class C (Class D in 2022)

Projected Lineup: Mariem Sayahi-Sr., Caitlin McCarthy-Sr., Lindsey Wight-So., Alannah McCarthy-Fr., Marrin Brick-Sr., Mary Genovesi-Fr., Chloe Kirgan-Sr.

Key Losses: Victoria Iacabucci

Team Outlook: Defending league and Class C champions only lose their fourth runner from last year and is favored to repeat. Senior Mariem Sayahi is the defending league champion and was in the low 18 minute range last year. Senior Caitlin McCarthy and sophomore Lindsay Wight return in the two and three spots and were both in the high 19 minute range. Fourth and fifth runners were about a minute behind in the mid to high 20's so they will look to close the gap from their third to fouth runners to better help them to hold off Mohonasen for the league title.
